P.S.
Torrent supporters are already rubbing their hands together. In fact, there is nothing wrong with this, when you do not know whether your game will go or not, but you don’t want to throw money down the drain, because you don’t know when the opportunity to crank up the system upgrade will come back ... ultimately, there will never be a demo / benchmark of GTA V , and the system requirements of the game somehow leave some questions behind the scenes (in terms of processors, basically ... it is unclear whether 3-core AMD Phenom X3 will fit the game, whether 2-core Core i3 with 4 virtual cores will work). But so it’s better to buy the game legally ... And then games of this level are released too rarely to save money on their purchase.

An excellent point. GTA Online, too, let it go through the forest in that case .... as well as the sea of not received pleasure from playing it ...
Rockstar transfer the game - download from torrent, pedestrians have no shadows - download from torrent, the computer is too weak - download from torrent, no money for the game - download from torrent ... to do a year before the release on consoles, 2) sell at the price of school pizza and 3) make it look like the movie "Avatar" perfectly on a single-core Seleron with integrated graphics ... you want a lot, comrades.

That is, in GTA V stencil shadows? (Stencil Shadows) Heh ... I don’t know who saw what where, but the shadows have some kind of filter (I don’t know by what algorithm it is counted, but in fact the shadows are soft anyway ... even on the same consoles). The fact that they may look lurid is normal. This is done everywhere: in front of the player you see a clear shadow, and in the distance something more primitive with a coarser filter. This is done for the sake of performance and video memory savings. If we take Stencil Shadows (Doom 3, remember?), In this regard they are much more honest and do not lose in detail with distance, but in open spaces they can consume huge amounts of memory ... I am silent about rough angular edges ... Personally, to me and I liked the shadows in GTA on PS3, they certainly did not cause rejection ... so there is always something to complain about, but some moments in the screenshots may not be seen ... for example, the behavior of water, rain effects, play of light, etc.

Tomorrow everyone will be able to install this update for themselves, so no matter how you get the update, it is almost irrelevant.
How else? It will be.
Screenshots should be treated with caution. Most likely they were processed with Photoshop. Ultimately, this has been talked about more than once. Actually, I had experience with GTA V in NextGen performance (PS4) and the picture there was good, but not as magical as in the screenshots or in the trailer (although they were supposedly made on it).
Well, one more fun fact. Remember the homeless town under the bridge? Shadows from a campfire near which homeless people basked in the NextGen trailer (allegedly recorded from PS4)? So there is no such thing in the game. In terms of the lighting system in the game, it is really improved: from many light sources shadows are now cast, but ... from the fire they are not ... In general, here you need to treat everything quite restrained and the game can be judged solely by the game itself. In general, we are waiting.
Only if the community of players implements it themselves through network modification ... but you have to live to see that.
PS
"I'm tired of waiting, I'm downloading a pirate.", "I'm not waiting for the game for a long time. , but they are waiting and they are always ready to pay for good games. If there is no money, then say so, if you are tired of waiting for the game, do not play it in principle. By God, kindergarten!
So it's not just the gland. If we take modern consoles, then there really are not so many differences in terms of the hardware component with some average gaming PC. But in any case, set-top boxes have their own OS, their own graphics API (set-top boxes have a low-level one, a PC has a high-level one in the face of DirectX) ... in short, their own peculiarities of interaction of system components. The whole difficulty lies precisely in this, that is, in adapting the game engine to the peculiarities of Windows systems with their software and hardware (there are literally the same graphics chips on the consoles, and on the PC there are countless variations with their generations, models, manufacturers, etc. drivers ... all this must be taken into account if you want the game to work equally well for everyone).
Stupidity. Level of graphic technologies is determined primarily by the API (DirectX / OpenGL / Mantle / ...) through which the game works. Everything that Nvidia implements in its products can be implemented in AMD products. This whole story with the exclusivity of technologies is mostly just the result of marketing policy The same DSR from Nvidia is not much different from standard anti-aliasing methods: we increase the resolution several times and scale to the screen size to remove the staircase effect ... This is approximately how most standard anti-aliasing techniques work ... FXAA is a little different, anti-aliasing through a shader, which can probably be executed on AMD cards, but since this is a proprietary technology patented by Nvidia, then ... Should there be some kind of zest for people to buy cards from this particular company?
As for new technologies, I will add one more thing ... AMD is great for introducing Mantle to the world as a more efficient alternative to DirectX, but it's a pity that Nvidia ignores its implementation in its products after its specification becomes open to everyone ... In essence, the "greens" by their policy are trying to prevent the masses from reaching a really very good and half-full technology, which is really capable of raising the FPS in such a way in games written for it ... Well, who then hinders the development of technologies?

P.S. At this time, the game will be ready.
The game has probably been ready for a long time (and not in the form of a beta build, but in the form of a candidate release), but now it is actively polished: bugs are caught, crashes are fixed, network tests are being tested, etc.
The delay in the announcement of system requirements may be caused, well, for example ... hmm ... ambiguity about support for video cards that do not support dx11, well, or due to the fact that they have not been fully approved.
I was very pleased that the environment and transport came in handy (on screenshots). Downright North Yankton.
PS
And the Christmas tree was taken from the "prologue" along the way.
he meant that the game will take advantage of 64-bit memory addressing, which will make it possible to store more game resources in it and, as an option, this will help reduce the load on the hard drive (more resources are cached in the RAM - less needs to be loaded from the HDD).
The number of customizable / disabled effects does not depend on the API, it depends on the desire (or unwillingness) of the developers to provide the gamer with the ability to fine-tune the picture. In any case, from my personal experience, I will say that with equal settings, games still run faster on DX11, and not on DX9 (due to closer interaction between the video card and the processor), but if the video card is loaded with all sorts of HBAO, TXAA, tessellation, etc. then yes ... the difference is automatically leveled ... Well ... let's hope that R * will not offend us with the assortment of sliders in the game settings ... in Max Payne 3, as far as I remember, the graphics were adjusted quite finely.
P.S.
The only reasonable reason to introduce support for DirectX 9 is to keep support for older video cards ... The same is with the DirectX 10 generation of video cards ... all the latest drivers from both AMD and Nvidia in the list of supported solutions have only video cards with support for DirectX 11. In general ... I strongly doubt that any other than DX11 will be supported more ... although I would like to see Mantle (so far only works on AMD video cards) and DirectX 12 (so far available only to developers), because in this case you can count on a solid increase in frames (thanks to low-rate access to hardware).

No offense to the author, but I didn't get it. The functionality of the game and the quality of its elaboration from the technical point of view seem to be unrelated ... Well, then yes. There will be a lot of all sorts of tweaks that will increase the density of traffic, grass, drawing range, etc. In any case, you don't need to scare people in advance. Ultimately, the sad experience of porting GTA IV may have benefited R *, and the NextGen consoles in general are not that powerful, and their architecture is quite similar to PC's, which should at least somehow have a positive effect on the PC version.

Well, this is a fairly new product on the market and it is still being tested ... over time, such units will be both more perfect and cheaper. In any case, it's nice that R * is eyeing new and promising technologies.
P.S.
There is infa that the grass will be thicker in the PS4 version of the game. Here is a GIF to confirm the words. http://i.imgur.com/RWA2KMR.gif

From this proposal, it turns out that the non-volatile memory on the PS3 is less than on the Xbox 360, but this is not the case. The Xbox has a unified one, its 512 megabytes and it's true. The PS3 has its own memory for the CPU and GPU: 256 megabytes of RAM, 256 megabytes of VRAM. So the PS3 R * also worked with 512 megabytes of memory.
In any case, it is not technology that is important, but how it will be disposed of, and GTA V is the most striking confirmation of this.
By the way, it's interesting ... our localizers have already indicated the price, but there is silence in the incentive (it may appear simultaneously with the system requirements) ... For some reason it seems to me that the price in it will be lower ... well ... in any case In the case of Steam's love for discounts, it can be assumed that after a while the price tag for the figure will certainly be lower than for the version for physical. carrier.
IMHO, but this is pure speculation on the part of our distributors. The same GTA IV at the time of its release on PC was several times cheaper (it cost me 500 rubles) ... They probably decided that since GTA V got into the Guinness Book of Records, then its price tag should be a record high.
P.S.
"The most interesting thing is that everyone who pre-ordered the game before November 12 at the same price will have to redeem it at the new price."
A person prepares a pre-order, that is, makes a deal on such conditions, and then they just change like that ... Of course, somewhere there probably is some kind of reservation on the part of the localizer, they say, "We have the right to change the terms of the deal.", But ... this only once again shows the derogatory attitude of our companies towards their customers.

Yes, but ... it seems like various kinds of glitches / bugs have not spoiled any GTA yet. Everyone is more concerned with performance issues and those related to installing mods.
It is believed that bugs in GTA are part of its unique atmosphere and gameplay.) Take at least the same "hellish swing" in GTA IV. How much fun there was with them both in the single and in the MP! Well, or "unkillable" train in GTA V with which it is just as fun to have fun. GTA is a sandbox, and a sandbox is needed in order to have fun from the heart and all kinds of glitches only contribute to this.)) Although, of course, various technical problems are another matter. They would like to be smaller.
P.S.
In general, it would be interesting to see the changelog of the first patch in order to estimate what kind of problem the game has. Probably everything basically rests on problems with GTA Online ... although maybe there are some jambs ... well ... for example, with a FPS drawdown.
P.S.S.
In general, it's pretty nice to see that the developers are honest about the problems with the game before its release. But how does it happen? and only after some time after the angry reviews of the players, everyone starts to fuss, admit the problems and swear that they will fix it and all that.

And you will probably have to wait decently ... The game will be protected by DRM (Denuvo), which has not yet been cracked (we proceed from the experience of Lords of Fallen and Fifa 15).
In fact, I don't understand this ... You download a pirate and 100% lose GTA Online, and there the cartoon is not like in 4 and is worth playing.
Hopefully 1500r. - this is still an exaggeration ... for a good game, of course, I don’t mind any money, but ... still a little sorry.
And what are you going to do with one processor without a motherboard, video card, etc.? Admire the play of reflected light from its perfectly smooth surface? But seriously, but not on the topic, in games, Core i5 behaves no worse than Core i7 (equivalent in frequencies), but it costs an order of magnitude cheaper (it is reasonable to use the saved money to purchase a more powerful (than planned) video card) ... This is true....

P.S.
Until now, not a word about Mantle support ... but for owners of mediocre processors and good Radeon's, it would come in handy.
That is, they had to score on porting GTA V and roll out GTA VI by November 18? That is, it would be cool if GTA V would have passed by other platforms and existed only for the Xbox 360, yes PS3? ... In any case, good games are not made quickly, but what did they do with GTA VR * in some way degree deserves respect ... Instead of doing a stupid port of the game, they went a little further. New music, new missions in the single, first person view, new animals, etc. ... In principle, if you think so, then it is understandable why they did this: those who wanted to play GTA V have already bought it for the outgoing platforms (not all, but there were a lot of such people). Now the question. How to sell the same product a second time to the same players? Just! Make the game a little bigger and better! ...

"Never say never"." This position gives full reason to believe that Red Dead Redemption will one day move to new platforms.
Heh ... one consolation ... the other day for GTA Online it seems like there will be an update 1.18 in which (in honor of Halloween) there will be ... zombies !!! Can not wait.
