Trevor Philips. Living in a trailer park in Sandy Shores, full of drug addicts and biker gangs, Trevor embodies a man living by his own rules, stopping at nothing to get what he wants. Behind the appearance of a psychopath and Vietnam War veteran who finds pleasure in chaos and violence hides a cunning businessman selling weapons and drugs across the US through his company Trevor Philips Enterprises.

The main antagonist of GTA 5 is billionaire Devin Weston, among whose many assets is the private military company Merryweather Security, which he uses to unfairly advance his interests in both the corporate and criminal worlds. Weston has managed to corrupt law enforcement through his relationship with FIB agent Steve Haines. Haines, another antagonist, forces the protagonists to commit various crimes for him. Street gangs and drug lords also play a part, adding fuel to the fire of the plot.

However, the trio won't face the powerful alone. GTA 5 features many secondary characters ready to support and cover for them.
