As teased earlier this week by Rob Wiethoff, the voice of John Marston, the much-hyped Red Dead Redemption news turned out not to be a major announcement from Rockstar Games. Still, fans — particularly those in the U.S. — have something to look forward to.

The announcement appears to be a reunion at the upcoming National Gaming Expo, which will feature key cast members from the Red Dead Redemption series. Among the confirmed guests are Roger Clark (Arthur Morgan), as well as the voices behind Dutch van der Linde, Sadie Adler, Micah Bell, Hosea Matthews, and more. While the event was previously announced, the full lineup was officially revealed on Friday, June 20. The fan meetup will take place August 8–10 in Tampa, Florida. A separate gathering with cast members from the Grand Theft Auto franchise is also scheduled for the same venue.

Despite the lack of a Rockstar-related reveal, rumors of a next-gen version of Red Dead Redemption 2 for consoles remain unaddressed. Many fans had speculated that Wiethoff’s teaser referred to just such an announcement. Meanwhile, reports suggest a Nintendo Switch 2 port may also be in development.
