Polish YouTuber Zly has unveiled a unique take on what a Grand Theft Auto: Vice City film adaptation might have looked like if it were made back in the 1980s. To nail the atmosphere, he added authentic VHS-style effects, while Polish viewers even got the classic "voice-over dub" that was once a hallmark of old cassette releases.
According to the creator, this project is his way of paying tribute to the 1980s — the very era in which the game takes place. To achieve the retro look, he used AI tools, vintage-inspired effects, filming techniques reminiscent of movies from that decade, and the signature audio quality of VHS tapes.
