The Grand Theft Auto series has long transcended the realm of just a gamer’s hobby, with even Hollywood eagerly awaiting the release of the sixth installment. At least we know one thing about Craig Mazin’s interests: the screenwriter behind Chernobyl and The Last of Us recently joked in a video for the BAFTA ceremony that Rockstar’s new game has become his main purpose in life.
"I'm mostly just trying to stay alive so that I'm here to play Grand Theft Auto 6. And I suspect from what I've heard, that the game will be big enough to carry through for about two more decades of life," he said.
In the same video, Mazin also recalled his favorite games, including GTA 4: "Just because the story was so good. It’s hard to beat Niko Bellic as an antaponist. Protagonist. Antihero."
By the way, there are less than a year left until the release of the sixth game — just 364 days! The game will launch exclusively on consoles — PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. You can find all the key details about the game here.
