Nintendo recently showed off the new Nintendo Switch 2 console for the first time, with several game ports announced for it, including Cyberpunk 2077 and Elden Ring. Following this, a report appeared on Nintendo Switch projects that will have backward compatibility issues.

Fortunately, Rockstar Games games were not included in this list. As a reminder, the Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition collection, the re-release of Red Dead Redemption, and L.A. Noire have been officially ported to Nintendo Switch.

It is still unknown whether any new Rockstar projects will appear on the new console. It is encouraging that the Nintendo Switch 2 is capable of handling such demanding games as Cyberpunk 2077, Hogwarts Legacy, and Final Fantasy VII Remake. Perhaps in the future, we will see something new from the developers of Grand Theft Auto.

By the way, Nintendo Switch 2 will go on sale on June 5, the recommended price of the console is $450. The device will receive an LCD screen with 120 FPS support, 1080p resolution for portable mode, 256 GB of memory and joy-cons with computer mouse functionality.

Earlier, the former developer of GTA 6 and RDR Online criticized the overly large open worlds.
