How to Find a Tank in GTA 5

The Rhino Tank is the cornerstone of madness in GTA 5, but getting it without money or codes is not that easy. In this material, we will tell you how to get the tank, and not just in one, but three whole ways. You won't need money or codes for this. All you need is a bit of patience and caution.

If you don't have the cash and don't want to use codes, then you'll have to sweat it out. You'll need to take the fort by force, so buy the best armor, ammunition, sticky bombs, steal a fast car, and install bulletproof tires on it.

There are several ways to drive into the fort with a car. Choose the most convenient one for you and drive into the fort's territory. That's where your sticky bombs will come in handy. Throw them right behind your car as you move to blow up your pursuers while heading to the hangars where the Cargobob helicopter is located.

Remember that Fort Zancudo is a very dangerous place in GTA 5, and they don't like guests there. You'll have to deal with armed and equipped soldiers while searching for the helicopter.

Once you find the Cargobob, get into the cockpit and take off immediately, then find the nearest and most suitable tank and hook it with the helicopter. As soon as the Rhino is attached, lift it into the air and get off the base's territory. Wait until the wanted stars disappear, after which you can leave the tank on the ground and get into its cockpit.

Cargobob is a military helicopter that can be found in two locations in GTA 5: on the helipads of Fort Zancudo or purchased from Warstock Cache and Carry. Sometimes the helicopter can be found on the helipad on Elysian Island (an industrial area in the Port of Los Santos).

Once you have the helicopter, head to Fort Zancudo and grab the tank with the helicopter. Note that as soon as you do this, you will attract the attention of the fort's personnel, which may lead to serious problems! Do this as quickly as possible and get off the fort's territory before your helicopter takes critical damage.

Once you have the Rhino, fly to a location where NPCs simply can't reach you. There you can calmly get rid of all the stars and head to the ground. Land the tank and set down the helicopter. Done, now you have a tank!

This hijacking method requires you to have a parachute and an airplane or helicopter. You'll also need parachute control skills for landing. Here are some locations where you can find an aircraft in GTA 5:

As soon as you find a helicopter and get a parachute, fly to Fort Zancudo, then jump out and land with the parachute near the Rhino tank (hint: you can practice parachuting at the Los Santos flight school).

When you are landing near your tank, you will attract the attention of the entire Zancudo staff. They will attack you even during the landing, so you'll have to dodge while still in the air.

Upon landing, find the tank you need and get into it. After that, you can get out of the fort, but remember that the tank in GTA 5 is sturdy, but far from invincible. Everyone who can will attack you. In the western and eastern parts of the fort, there are automatic gates that open as you approach them (this trick won't work in GTA Online). Drive up to them and get out of Zancudo.
