Insider Confirms Rockstar Is Still Working on an Updated Version of Red Dead Redemption 2

Well-known insider NateTheHate has confirmed that updated versions of Red Dead Redemption 2 for Nintendo Switch 2 and current-gen consoles (PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S) are indeed in development.

When asked by user Ben (@videotechuk_) if he still believed these upgrades were real, NateTheHate replied: “Yes, they exist. I have no update on timing for release.”

Back in June, the insider mentioned that the enhanced version could launch by the end of this year, possibly in the fall.

Interestingly, there was also a recent update to the Steam page for Red Dead Redemption 2, with changes made to the game’s description. Some gamers see this as a potential hint that an enhanced version of RDR2 could be on the way for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch 2, and PC.

So far, Rockstar has not officially confirmed the existence of an enhanced edition or any release date, so all information remains purely speculative at this point.

Previously, Rockstar released an enhanced version of GTA 5, which featured faster load times, improved visuals, and more.
