After MindsEye received heavy criticism on Steam, the developers released an official statement to players, thanking them for their support and apologizing for the issues that plagued the game at launch.

The team has promised a hotfix patch for PC by the end of this week, with a console update to follow soon after.

Here’s what players can expect from the upcoming hotfix:

  • Improved CPU and GPU performance, along with better memory optimization;
  • Reduced difficulty for the CPR mini-game;
  • A new option to disable or adjust Depth of Field;
  • Fixes for missing controls in the MineHunter and Run Dungeon mini-games;
  • Pop-up warnings for PCs with disabled GPU hardware scheduling and for CPUs prone to crashes.

Currently, MindsEye holds a 40% positive rating on Steam. The project’s game director is Leslie Benzies, formerly a producer on the GTA series.
