Ahead of its upcoming release, several content creators have gotten hands-on access to MindsEye, the new action game from Grand Theft Auto co-creator and former producer Leslie Benzies. Unfortunately, early impressions suggest that developer Build a Rocket Boy may have rushed the game's release.

User SynthPotato compiled the key takeaways from various preview videos, most of which highlight significant issues with MindsEye. According to testers, the game is riddled with bugs, features a 15-hour story, and offers clunky driving mechanics. Enemy AI is reportedly underwhelming, and the main city of Redrock feels lacking in content. On the positive side, previews noted combat reminiscent of GTA and well-animated cutscenes. MindsEye will also include a user-generated content platform, currently limited to PC.

The system requirements were also revealed:

  • CPU: Intel Core i5-12400F or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X;
