The developer of GTA San Andreas, 20 years later, explained one of the strangest bugs of the game

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas continues to reveal its secrets even after decades. This time, the explanation was given to the strange plane crashes out of nowhere that kept happening near CJ.
As one of the game's former developers, Obbe Vermeij, explained recently, the reason was a bug in the code. According to him, to simulate the living world next to the player, the program created flying models of airplanes. Before this, the code scanned the area for obstacles, but only a small area. Because of this, the game simply “did not see” some objects, and instead of flying, the plane went to ram.
By the way, recently a possible Rockstar Games logo was discovered online, dedicated to the company’s 25th anniversary. The image already contains references to GTA, RDR and other studio games.
