GTA Online: Los Santos Summer Special - everything you need to know

GTA Online got the “Los Santos Summer Special” update on the 11th of August. The update has no theme, it includes new missions for yacht owners, open wheel races as well as a wide variety of new vehicles.

New missions

6 new missions have been added. They can be started on a yacht. We will be publishing playthroughs for each of these missions.

All new vehicles are available to purchase.

YOSEMITE received a RANCHER upgrade. RANCHER is a vehicle from GTA 4.

New minigames

Qub3d from GTA 4 and Axe of Fury arcade games have been added to GTA Online.

Lucky Wheel podium vehicle

Emperor ETR1 is the Lucky Wheel podium vehicle this week.

New tuning possibilities

Any vehicle can now be equipped with any stock wheels previously exclusive to certain cars.

It is now possible to install a portable rave station on the roof of a vehicle.

New loading screens

New loading screens have been added for the first time in several years.

New contact missions

Solomon Richards has been added as a contact with his own missions.

New missions in Business Battles

New Business Battle tasks have been added. The players will need to capture the cargo from either an Aircraft Carrier or from a Factory.

New side mission

The mission is available when a blue blip appears on the minimap. You will receive $10.000 for completing the task. We will not reveal the plot, find out for yourself!

New t-shirts

4 new t-shirts have been added.

Yacht discounts

“The Pisces” yacht is on sale. Yacht upgrades are also available with a discount.

Vehicle flaws

Rockstar Games added “flags” for some vehicles (scripts that affect steering and physics), due to which they will be difficult to drive. These vehicles include: Club, Coquette D10, Beater Dukes, Gauntlet Classic Custom, Glendale Custom, Landstalker XL, Manana Custom, BR8, DR1, Penumbra FF, Peyote Custom, Seminole Frontier, Tigon, Yosemite Rancher, Youga Classic 4x4.

Fixes

LJT will use SMS instead of calls to remind players to resupply biker businesses.

Additional features

Bolide races have been added along with the ability to make your own missions of that type. Also, UFOs, different clothing items and new masks have been added.
