Actor Steven Ogg, who’s never been much of a fan of video games, recently appeared at another GTA 5 fan event. While chatting with a blogger, the Trevor Philips actor admitted he feels no particular excitement about GTA 6. Instead, he suggested people explore Russian literature.
“Yesterday someone told me I should play GTA 5 because it’s such a great game. And I said, well, one day you should read Dostoevsky’s Crime and Punishment. And he went completely blank.”
The video also featured Shawn Fonteno, the actor behind Franklin, who jokingly dismissed Crime and Punishment and pulled his colleague away.
Other GTA 5 stars, however, are very much looking forward to Rockstar’s next big release. Last month, Ned Luke (Michael) and Shawn Fonteno (Franklin) said they were blown away by the latest trailer and can’t wait to stream the game.
GTA 6 launches on May 26, 2026, for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick previously expressed confidence that the game would arrive in spring, though some insiders suggest taking his words with a grain of salt.
