"Dead Eye," Island Map, and Relationship System: New GTA 6 Rumors Emerged

Blogger GameRoll, who was the first to leak the real names of Jason and Lucia, has shared new potential details about Grand Theft Auto 6, which have been compiled separately on Reddit. As always, it’s best to treat the following information as unconfirmed rumors.
According to the insider’s sources, GTA 6 may feature the following:
- The return of the six-star wanted level system;
- A relationship progression mechanic, similar to the honor system in Red Dead Redemption 2;
- Underwater locations with hidden stashes;
- The ability to greet or antagonize NPCs, much like in RDR2;
- Jason will have a "Dead Eye"-like ability that highlights enemy weak points. Lucia will also get a version of this ability, but limited to one shot due to her being less proficient with firearms;
- NPCs will react to visible weapons;
- The best driving mechanics in the series to date;
- Dismemberment system adapted from RDR2;
- The map will be island-based once again;
- Footage in the trailer is reportedly only from the first three of five chapters;
- Fully explicit sex scenes have been removed, as well as a Disneyland parody that was allegedly cut;
- Music will stop playing when the player is outside a vehicle.
Previously, GameRoll claimed that GTA 6 would feature a massive open world with hundreds of interactive shops. However, the blogger later speculated that this might refer to vending machines instead.
Grand Theft Auto 6 is scheduled for release on May 26, 2026, for Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5. Recently, another blogger published a second trailer for the game—recreated entirely in LEGO style.
