YouTube channel Welcome to the ‘80s has shown what GTA 6 might have looked like if it had been released in 1989. To do this, the enthusiast recreated the project's debut trailer in a retro style.
The author's channel features other similar videos. In the past, he has shown retro versions of Grand Theft Auto 5, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, L.A. Noire, Assassin's Creed 3, Watch Dogs, and Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon.
The enthusiast's most popular video is the updated intro video for Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, which has garnered 5.4 million views on YouTube. The video was released in 2016.
Recently, the publisher of GTA 6 confirmed that the game's release is still scheduled for Fall 2025. The project will be released for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. It is assumed that the game will eventually come to PC.
