Former Rockstar developer believes GTA 6 won't be a leap in technology

Former Rockstar Games technical director Obbe Vermeij spoke about what he expects from GTA 6. In his opinion, the new game will not be far from the fifth part in terms of technology.
The developer gave an interview to Portuguese YouTuber SanInPlay, talking about his work on the Grand Theft Auto series. Among other things, he touched on the future sixth part, and here some fans may be disappointed. Obbe Vermeij is confident that GTA 6 will not make the same breakthrough in technology as the fourth game did. In his opinion, progress in development is slowing, so making such a leap is becoming increasingly difficult.
However, he really liked the trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6. Obbe Vermeil's favorite scene was the beach — all because of the large number of animated NPCs, each of which is busy with some kind of activity.
Earlier, the head of Ubisoft said that the release of the sixth part of the criminal action game would attract a solvent audience to games from other studios.
