GTA 5 Sales Surpass 215 Million Copies

Take-Two Interactive has released updated sales figures for its games, revealing that GTA 5 has now sold a staggering 215 million copies. Back in February, the number stood at 210 million.
Here are some additional sales stats:
- The GTA series as a whole has sold 450 million copies;
- Red Dead Redemption 2 has reached 74 million units sold (up from 70 million in February);
- The total sales for the Red Dead series have hit 100 million copies;
- GTA 5 reached $1 billion in retail sales faster than any other entertainment product in history;
- Take-Two's revenue for the fiscal year increased by 5% to $5.63 billion. The figure was within the forecast;
- Recurring spend increased by 5%;
- The operating loss was $4.49 billion, which is worse than last year's loss of $3.59 billion. The main reason was the increase in game development costs;
- Over the past decade, GTA 5 has been the best-selling game in the US, both in terms of units sold and revenue.
