Grand Theft Auto 5 Crowned Most Popular Game on Twitch for 2024

Twitch has shared its viewership stats for the past year, and Grand Theft Auto 5 came out on top as the most-watched game of 2024. The project racked up a staggering 1.4 billion hours of watch time over the 12-month period.
Trailing behind in the published top five is MOBA League of Legends (1.19 billion hours) in second place, followed by the PvP shooter Valorant (804 million hours) in third. Fourth place went to battle royale Fortnite (539 million hours), and the Call of Duty franchise rounded out the top five with 451 million hours.
In related news, it was recently announced that Grand Theft Auto 5 will be leaving PlayStation Plus Extra and PlayStation Plus Premium on May 20th. Additionally, an enthusiast by the name of Unscripted recently used AI to demonstrate what a Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer might look like if it were made out of claymation.
