The YouTube channel Sora AI has unveiled a fascinating AI-generated trailer envisioning a Grand Theft Auto IV movie set in the 1980s. The fan-made video offers a glimpse at what a film adaptation might look like, complete with a retro aesthetic.

The trailer features familiar locations and iconic characters from the game, including Niko Bellic, Dimitri Rascalov, Roman Bellic, Manny Escuela, Mikhail Faustin, and Little Jacob.

Here's what viewers are saying:

"Impressive. I always wondered if Rockstar would ever make a GTA 4 movie," — liambobyk219

"Niko looks a bit different," — mustafakiroglu1476

"GTA 4 Remaster graphics in 2029," — t0p0g1g10

"Epic," — danielmunroe1423

This isn't the first time Sora AI has used AI to imagine GTA on the big screen. Several months ago, they released an AI trailer for a Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas movie adaptation.

Prior to that, the channel also showcased what a Grand Theft Auto: Vice City movie might look like.

In related news, reputable industry insider Tom Henderson recently suggested that Grand Theft Auto 6 could potentially be delayed from May to Fall 2026. Before that, Devolver Digital co-founder Nigel Lowrie called Grand Theft Auto 6 a "AAAAA" game.

And back in August, we compiled a list of the best fan-made films based on the GTA series.
