An unofficial port of GTA 3 for the Sega Dreamcast is in development

An enthusiast with the nickname SKMP is developing an unofficial port of GTA 3 for the Sega Dreamcast console. Interestingly, in 1999, Rockstar created a tech demo of the game for this platform but ultimately decided not to continue development and focused on the PS2 version.
The port is being created using DreamSDK3 and KalistiOS, as well as with the help of Reicast and Ldxdream emulators. It is reported that to run GTA 3, a modified Dreamcast console with 32 MB of RAM will be required.
The project is still in the early stages of development. Some parts of the engine will need to be rewritten. Additionally, there are issues with the lack of video memory.
Recall that GTA 3 was released in 2001 on the PS2, but later also appeared on other platforms, including PC, Xbox, Android, and iOS. Furthermore, there is an updated version of the game with the subtitle The Definitive Edition, based on the Unreal Engine 4.
By the way, a former GTA 3 developer previously spoke about the canceled multiplayer for this game.
