Nearly 20 years after the release of Bully, fans have finally created a full-fledged online mode. YouTuber SWEGTA and his team unveiled a detailed video showcasing the mod’s main features. Early supporters will get access in December, with a public release planned for 2026.

Titled Bully Online, the project is described as an open-world role-playing experience inspired by GTA RP. The mod adds a massive sandbox where players can earn money, buy property, and take part in chaotic schoolyard brawls. While there’s no story mode, the creators have included plenty of activities — from mini-games to a local take on Counter-Strike.

The mod runs on the Derpy Script Loader (DSL) plugin, which greatly expands Bully’s modding capabilities. According to SWEGTA, the project has been in development for several years by a small dedicated team.

In December, access will be limited to paid Ko-fi supporters, who’ll also receive exclusive bonuses such as behind-the-scenes videos, a built-in photo mode, and a premium blue nickname in the game.

Back in September, Dan Houser confirmed that Rockstar had discussed Bully 2, but the company ultimately lacked the resources to move forward with development.
