An enthusiast is taking a crack at revamping the graphics of the iconic 2003 action game Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne using NVIDIA's official RTX Remix toolkit. A video showcasing this fan-made remaster has already surfaced online.
The mod is currently in early development, with the creator focusing on the initial chapters. The plan is to release more gameplay footage showcasing other locations in the future, as well as a demo. A full release date for the mod is still up in the air.
It's worth remembering that full-fledged remakes of both Max Payne and Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne are also in development. These are being developed by Remedy Entertainment on the Northlight Engine (the same engine used for Quantum Break, Control, and Alan Wake 2) for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. No release date has been announced yet.
In other news, Rockstar Games recently dropped a trailer for the Cayo Perico Survival mode in Grand Theft Auto Online. Prior to that, YouTuber eli_handle_b․wav brought John Wick from the John Wick film franchise into the world of the cowboy action game Red Dead Redemption 2.
