Take-Two confirmed that review bombing can negatively affect the company's success
During a recent investor call, Take-Two Interactive addressed the topic of review bombing. The publisher included the practice of leaving negative comments in the list of potential risks that can harm its reputation.
Specifically, the publisher stated that review bombing can "lead to loss of players and revenues, additional advertising and marketing costs, and reputation harm."
In recent years, Take-Two has been involved in two scandals: due to the release of GTA The Definitive Edition and aggressive microtransactions in the NBA 2K basketball simulators. Recently, the company also closed Intercept Games, the studio working on Kerbal Space Program 2, which upset many players.
It was previously announced that on August 8, Take-Two will release its financial report. Perhaps on the same day, we will learn something new about GTA 6.
