Rumor: new Mafia game will not be announced at Summer Game Fest 2024

Back in May, 2K announced that a new installment in one of its major franchises will be announced during Summer Game Fest, and later there were rumors that the company could unveil Mafia 4.
An insider with the nickname Kurakasis, whose rumors have been confirmed many times, reported that the summer presentation will not feature a new Mafia, but Borderlands 4. According to him, the game will be announced before the event, and the first trailer will be shown during the show. He did not share any details about the project.
Summer Game Fest 2024 kicks off on June 7. Among other things, the presentation will feature Star Wars Outlaws, Batman: Arkham Shadow, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, Dune: Awakening, and Sonic x Shadow Generations, Slitterhead, along with story additions for Alan Wake 2 and Elden Ring.
