Netflix wanted to create its own GTA game

According to The Wall Street Journal, Netflix was seeking permission from Take-Two Interactive to develop its own game in the Grand Theft Auto series for its subscription service.
Considering that Netflix's in-house studios do not produce high-budget AAA games, the company may have intended to release a spin-off in a completely different genre. It is likely that they were considering a mobile project. The specifics of the negotiations between Netflix and the publisher of the Grand Theft Auto series are unknown.
According to sources cited by The Wall Street Journal, games based on the shows «Squid Game», «Wednesday», and «Black Mirror» will be available on Netflix's subscription service in the coming months. However, details about these projects are not yet available.
