Yesterday the very first Grand Theft Auto game celebrated its 25th Anniversary. It was released on November 28th, 1997 for MS-DOS and Windows. GTA was developed by DMA Design Limited, currently known as Rockstar North.
GTA was a revolutionary title that gave us many gameplay features, the franchise is famous for. Players received total freedom of actions, chases, a Wanted Level system, radio and a variety of story missions. The cities of Liberty City, San Andreas and Vice City were shown for the first time.
Further development of those mechanics and ideas led the franchise to a huge success, changing the entire gaming industry.
