Creator of Breaking Bad Pitched GTA Style Game
Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan has revealed that a game adaptation of his series in the spirit of Grand Theft Auto was pitched numerous times.
The producer noted that there were many attempts to make a video game based on the series. One day, Gilligan came up with the idea of playing in a GTA-like world with Breaking Bad atmosphere. The project did not materialize, but the producer believes that it still makes sense. Vince Gilligan also wanted to collaborate with Rockstar Games.
The creator of Breaking Bad spoke highly of GTA: "I don't really like video games, but how can you not know Grand Theft Auto?" Rockstar Games also took inspiration from the Gilligan series and added a lot of Easter eggs to the game. For example, on Mount Chiliad, you can see a face that looks like Jesse Pinkman, one of the main characters in Breaking Bad.
