Captain De Santa's Downfall — Red Dead Redemption Mission Walkthrough

In this guide, we will tell you how to take revenge on De Santa for his betrayal and learn the first information about the whereabouts of Javier Escuella in Red Dead Redemption.

Reach Louise in the town of Perdido to talk to her. She will tell you that the Captain was sent to El Sepulcro to oversee mass killings. Your task is to kill everyone involved in this matter.

The girl will stay in town, and you will follow her people to the destination. Upon arriving at the cemetery, you will see De Santa killing an innocent Mexican. Deal with the bandits protecting the Captain, then chase the man down. You need to capture the Captain alive using the lasso.

Important! Killing him will fail the mission.

Once you have the Captain, take him to the cemetery and watch the cutscene. The man will crack and reveal that Javier was in Casa Madrugada, after which you will have a choice — either you kill him or your helpers do. In any case, the Captain will not escape. Head to Casa Madrugada following the marked path on the map. Upon arrival, kill all the rebels, hiding behind the stone wall at the entrance.

After eliminating all the opponents, talk to the Lady at the entrance. She will tell you that the bandit hasn't been here for about a month, and you were deceived by the Captain. After the conversation, the mission will be considered complete, and you will receive +150 points to the Fame parameter and +62 points to the Honor parameter as a reward.
