Ultimate Guide: Collect All Golden Peyotes and Unlock the Beast in GTA 5

As you know, GTA 5 is packed with all sorts of secrets and Easter eggs. Most of them have been solved by players, but there are still unsolved mysteries that are gradually coming to light.

I hope you remember that in the updated GTA 5, released on new generation consoles and PC, there are secret cacti. They are also called peyotes. Picking one up transforms your character into one of the animals available in the game.

It was later discovered that there is also a golden peyote in the game that can turn the hero into a Sasquatch. And now it turns out that it's not the only one — there are seven golden peyotes in total — you just needed to search well!

This guide is dedicated to the Easter egg that triggers after you find all seven golden peyotes. As a result, you can participate in an epic battle between Bigfoot and the Beast and unlock the latter in Director Mode in the Rockstar Editor.

The golden peyotes are scattered across seven locations in San Andreas and only appear from 5:30 to 8:00 AM in foggy weather. While arriving at the location at the designated time is not a problem, catching the right weather can be a real headache, so use cheats or trainers for GTA 5.

Moreover, as seen on the map, you have to collect the cacti not only at a certain time of day but also on specific days of the week, starting from SUNDAY.

Golden peyotes must be collected in a specific order, at a specific time, and in foggy weather, otherwise, it won't work!

After you find the first cactus and transform into Bigfoot, press CTRL on the keyboard or L3 on the gamepad to roar. Soon you will hear a response somewhere in the distance. Keep moving towards these sounds, roaring, and you will find the next golden peyote. You can turn off the music in the game to better distinguish where the sounds are coming from. After picking up the last golden peyote, DO NOT END THE HALLUCINATION!

Press CTRL on the keyboard or L3 on the gamepad to roar and hear a response. Follow the sound and you will find an NPC corpse. The game wants you to find up to nine dead NPCs in a row by roaring and following the direction of the sounds!

The problem is that the location and number of dead bodies are randomly generated by the game. This means we can't help you with a map here. Just roar and follow where the response comes from. Turn off the music to better understand the direction to move.

Eventually, the game will lead you to the Thompson Scrapyard located in Blaine County.

Once at the scrapyard, find the last body and prepare for the decisive battle. It is recommended to enable invincibility using cheat codes or trainers.

Follow this direction to the end:

Soon the clouds above your head will begin to gather, night will fall, and it will start to rain. The Beast will jump from above, and you will have to kill it.

Once you win, the Beast will be available in Director Mode in the Rockstar Editor. If you are unable to defeat the Beast, you will need to collect the last golden peyote again to participate in the battle.

In Director Mode, select "Wild Animal" in the list of animals. You can switch between the Beast and Bigfoot skins by pressing left SHIFT+CTRL on the keyboard or L3+R3 on the console.
