While other studios are in no rush to release their games in 2025 due to the elephant in the room, Ubisoft sees the release of GTA 6 as a positive development. According to Yves Guillemot, the new part of the criminal action will only attract more audience to the games. The head of Ubisoft said this at the next meeting of investors: “What we usually see with every GTA release is that more people come to play. So overall this is a positive development for the market. It's counterintuitive, but it works for us."
As an argument, Yves Guillemot cited 2011, when the fifth part of Grand Theft Auto was released — at the same time, sales of Ubisoft games jumped. The same thing happened in the year the re-release of GTA 5 was released for consoles. By the way, the studio does not yet expect to release any of its projects in 2025. Let us remind you that recently the number of views of the Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer exceeded 200 million.
