The developers of GTA 6 were greatly disappointed by the premature release of the trailer
As it was known, Rockstar Games initially planned to reveal the GTA 6 trailer today (December 5th) at 9:00 AM ET, but someone decided to disrupt the company's plans by leaking the video online ahead of time. As a result, the developers had to release the official video right after the leak. Many of the project's authors were disappointed by such a turn of events.
«This fucking sucks. I was hoping to watch this for the first time tomorrow along with my fellow teammates and coworkers. I feel we deserved that moment», — said senior gameplay animator Javier Altman.
«I'm actually not going to watch this until I'm in the office with the people I made this with and who worked so fucking hard to make it happen», — said graphic programmer Angel Ortiz.
«FU***ING SERIOUSLY??? Sorry for the rage, but the trailer leak is just so disheartening. I was really looking forward to watching the premier with everyone. A lot of people were», — said senior programmer known as Connor.
«Enjoy, folks. Would have been nice to do this with all of you at the same time», — said senior gameplay designer Phil Beveridge.
«Sad that it came out this way, but couldn’t be more excited to be working on an amazing project with amazing people», — said gameplay systems engineer Zara Naveed.
«Shame it had to be released like this, but so excited to finally get to show off what we’ve been cooking», — said gameplay and artificial intelligence programmer Matthew Rennie.
As a reminder, the release of GTA 6 is set for 2025 on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. You can check out the first reactions from gamers here.
