Suppose it snows in Vice City. Suppose that a lot of snow has fallen - not only roads and lawns are covered with a layer of snow, but also the roofs of residential buildings, shops ... Passers-by are forced to dress warmer, cars are skidding on slippery surfaces, a strong wind on the city during the winter holidays.
Modification Winter Mod 3.0 is the latest modification in the ! mod line!Winter Mod , which transforms the summer Vice City into a real winter city.
Compared to previous versions, the modification has been completely redone from scratch in a new quality. All roads, sidewalks, grass, roofs of houses are covered with snow; Cars, as well as plants, are sprinkled with snow. In general, not a single detail was overlooked, in terms of the degree of sophistication, this is the most carefully made winter mod for the game. Thanks to the replacement of LOD textures, snow is also visible from afar, all other shortcomings of previous versions have been completely eliminated.
Pedestrians are warmly dressed, Tommy also got new warm clothes in his wardrobe, the free ride mode without tasks is still available, the ability to walk instead of run; cars slide on a slippery road, they skid; the whistle of the wind and the howl of a snowstorm are heard; new radar and weapon icons; there is a new radio station that plays music dedicated to winter and the New Year (about an hour of sound, mostly classic rock), there is also another radio station that can be installed additionally. The weather has changed a lot: long evenings and nights, gloomy skies, snow is falling.
The graphics are really improved and very striking - many new visual effects (reflections, bloom, motion blur, color correction, texture filtering, polygon smoothing - which is a first in Vice City A powerful menu allows you to customize the way you want, changing almost any parameters. If desired, the mod can be run on a very weak computer due to the possibility of flexible settings. These are far from all the changes.
Also, this is the first released multi-platform mod for GTA : the mod is coming out not only for PC, but also for Android.

I planned to finish and post the modification back in February, but due to constant technical difficulties, which I will not write about here, it was delayed and delayed. Nevertheless, posting a winter mod in the spring is better than not posting it at all, or pulling with a finished mod until winter. I wanted to go back to my old fashion, mainly due to the fact that there was a desire to transfer the modification to smartphones and tablets, in a "portable" re-release Vice City . This desire became the starting point, and the mod itself was redone. The computer version, the description of which you are reading, is, of course, much better, fuller, larger and more beautiful versions for Android , which is experimental (and in many ways a mobile mod is also a pioneer), but still extremely interesting. Прохожие вынуждены одеваться теплее, автомобили заносит на скользкой поверхности, дует сильный ветер и это всё как нельзя лучше подходит к надвигающимся на город зимним праздникам.
Модификация Winter Mod 3.0 — это последняя модификация в линейке модов Winter Mod, которая преображает летний Вайс-Сити в настоящий зимний город.
По сравнению с предыдущими версиями модификация полностью переделана с нуля в новом качестве. Снегом покрыты все дороги, тротуары, трава, крыши домов; снегом присыпаны и автомобили, а также растения. Вообще ни одна мелочь не упускалась из виду, по степени проработанности это самый тщательно сделанный зимний мод для игры. Благодаря замене LOD-текстур снег виден также и издалека, все другие недостатки предыдущих версий полностью устранены.
Пешеходы тепло одеты, Томми также получил новую теплую одежду в свой гардероб, по-прежнему доступен режим свободной езды без заданий, возможность идти, а не бежать; автомобили скользят на скользкой дороге, их заносит; слышен свист ветра и завывание метели; новый радар и иконки оружия; появилась новая радиостанция, на которой играет музыка, посвященная зиме и Новому году (около часа звучания, в основном — классический рок), также есть другая радиостанция, которую можно установить дополнительно. Погода сильно изменилась: длинные вечера и ночи, хмурое небо, падает снег.
Графика действительно улучшена и очень разительно — множество новых визуальных эффектов (отражения, блум, размытие в движении, цветокоррекция, фильтрация текстур, сглаживание полигонов — что впервые в Vice City, и еще кое-что) вместе с текстурами высокого разрешения (помимо текстур, сделанных для передачи зимнего времени года, изменено множество других второстепенных текстур на более качественные), вносят свежесть и новизну в изображение. Мощное меню позволяет настроить так, как захочется, изменяя практически любые параметры. При желании мод можно запустить и на очень слабом компьютере благодаря возможности гибкой настройки. Это далеко не все изменения.
Кроме того, это первый выпущенный мультиплатформенный мод для GTA: мод выходит не только для ПК, но также и для Android.

P.S. Это, пожалуй, самый опаздывающий мой мод, который дополняет список других модов, «вписавшихся» в график (летний мод для San Andreas вышел осенью и зимой, осенний для SA зимой)... Я планировал закончить и разместить модификацию еще в феврале, но из-за постоянных технических трудностей, о которых я не здесь не стану писать, он задерживался и задерживался. Все же выложить зимний мод весной лучше, чем вообще не выложить его, или тянуть с готовым модом до зимы. Вернуться к своему старому моду мне захотелось, главным образом, из-за того, что появилось желание перенести модификацию на смартфоны и планшеты, в «портативное» переиздание Vice City. Это желание стало отправной точкой, а сам мод был переделан заново. Компьютерная версия, описание к которой вы читаете, конечно, намного лучше, полнее, масштабное и красивее версии для Android, которая является экспериментальной (и во многом мобильный мод еще и первопроходец), но все же необычайно интересной. Надеюсь, вам понравится играть с этим модом, а весной или зимой — неважно.
