GTA Invasion v3.0
As a result of a mysterious experiment, the state of San Andreas merged with some other world. The atmosphere has become dark, the sky is a strange gray color, and alien monsters and enemy soldiers are now walking the streets. Apart from them and the military, you can rarely meet people; they are all hiding from danger in houses and shelters.
The main character, Jim, is a soldier who works for Mike Toreno. Together they fight against the aliens, and later other characters join them. Together they intend to free San Andreas from the invaders and close the portal that brought aliens to this world.
Most of the characters in this story, except Toreno, are not canon GTA characters. But in one of the missions there will be a cameo of two familiar characters.
Missions:
There are about 30 missions in the mod. Many were already in previous versions of the mod and relate to the main storyline.
The peculiarity of the new missions is their variability. You will have a choice of how to get through them, which side to take, kill the enemy or pass by him unnoticed. In one of the missions, Jim will have the opportunity to dress up as an alien and infiltrate the enemy’s camp. And here it all depends on your choice - whether you will follow the orders of the aliens or betray them. There will be no hints on what to do; you decide for yourself whether to follow the aliens’ instructions or kill them themselves. If your allies die, the mission will not fail, but it will affect future events. However, you need to be careful - the aliens do not forgive mistakes, and if you do something wrong, they will want to get rid of you. Your actions can lead to four new endings, whether they are good or bad - you will see for yourself.
To complete alien missions, you must be in an alien suit. As I said, Jim will wear it in one of the missions. You can take it off and put it on again in a house on an abandoned airstrip. In addition, when you are in a suit, earthly soldiers will try to kill you, but the aliens will take you for one of their own.
The stealth mission deserves special attention. You will need to kill 8 aliens without making a fuss. I tried to implement this idea as much as possible. You can only use a knife or pistol with a silencer. If you shoot with another weapon, you will be heard immediately. If one alien notices you, he will sound the alarm and everyone will know about you. If one of the enemies discovers a corpse, an alarm will also be sounded. So try to choose places for killings where the bodies cannot be found.
But it is not necessary to complete this mission in stealth. You can openly go against your enemies, but after the alarm is announced, help will soon arrive, and there will be twice as many enemies.
In addition to completing missions, you can clear areas of monsters. If you get close to them, they will be indicated by red squares on the radar. If you kill all the monsters, the area will be cleared. For clearing several territories you will receive bonuses. However, when searching, you need to take into account that in some places monsters do not appear from the beginning of the game, but somewhere after 3-4 missions. Two missions are designed specifically to help you discover places where monsters gather. If you die in these missions, they will not be available again, but monsters can still be found in the same location.
In the main storyline, after returning to the military base, you will be required to liberate several territories (if you have not already done so) in order for the next mission to become available. But this is not necessary - instead, you can complete several additional missions with a trip to Los Santos.
Bonuses:
For clearing territories:
- For 5 territories - weapons will not be taken away after death.
- For 12 territories – your health level will increase.
For the mission "Liberation of Angel Pine":
- The ability to give weapons to your allies in missions will be opened. To do this, you need to aim at an ally and press “yes answer” (Y by default).
For completing other missions you can get weapons, or new save, health and weapon pickups will appear.
Other new features in this version:
- The mod has been moved to main. Now, to play it, you need to start a new game.
- Save pickups will appear during the story at the end of missions or near the start marker of some missions.
- Voice acting has been added for all monsters, with a unique set of sounds for each type. The volume changes with the game volume.
- Radios in cars are now turned off.
- Added a new model for one of the scientists.
- Now I don’t recommend shooting at enemies with a sniper rifle. You will see for yourself what this will lead to.
- The behavior of aliens driving around the state in cars has become more diverse. They can, as in previous versions, simply drive by, or they can start chasing you and even get out of the car to attack. In addition, they will now have different types of weapons, not just the M4.
- In Los Santos, instead of a regular helicopter, you will now be chased by a Hunter firing missiles.
- Various errors have been fixed and mission codes have been adjusted.
- There are also some secrets and Easter eggs.
The mod is old, but I decided to make a new version for several reasons.
- I was asked to transfer the mod from Cleo to Maine.
- Ideas for new missions appeared.
- Ideas for several innovations emerged, most notably voice acting for monsters.
Installation:
- Simply copy all the folders that are in the GTA San Andreas folder from this archive to the game folder.
- For the mod to work you will need the CLEO 3 and CLEO 4 library.
- This archive contains CLEO 4.1. I recommend using this one, since the higher versions are unstable.
- Also in the archive is the SanLTD cracker, for which the text in this mod was written.
