The game takes place in autumn 2003. As follows from the prologue, at the end of the first part, Max was arrested, but Alfred Woden kept his promise. As a senator, he used his influence to free Max. Despite the newfound freedom, Max still cannot find peace of mind and balance: in his dreams and thoughts, he continues to be haunted by painful memories of the death of his family. Max is also disappointed that he escaped justice.

Two years later, he returns to work for the NYPD as an ordinary detective in the Homicide Squad.

I ask you not to skip the initial cut-scene in the second mission. A dialogue was recorded on the main music track.

Действие игры происходит осенью 2003 года. Как следует из пролога, в конце первой части Макса арестовали, однако Альфред Уоден исполнил данное им обещание. Будучи сенатором, он, используя своё влияние, освободил Макса. Несмотря на обретённую свободу, Макс по-прежнему не может обрести душевный покой и равновесие: во снах и мыслях его продолжают преследовать тяжкие воспоминания о смерти семьи. Также Макс разочарован тем, что избежал правосудия.

Два года спустя он возвращается на работу в полицию Нью-Йорка обычным детективом в отдел по расследованию убийств.

Прошу во второй миссии не пропускать начальную кат-сцену .На основную музыкальную дорожку был записан диалог .
