GM cars of the year of manufacture became the hero of the new animated film Transformers, which premiered in Europe on June 28.

Four aliens, arriving on Earth, take on a mechanical form. Bumblebee transforms from a 1976 Chevrolet Camaro, Autobot Jazza transforms from a Pontiac Solstice hardtop, Autobot Ratchet transforms from a HUMMER H2 into a service vehicle version, and Ironhide transforms from a GMC pickup truck.

According to director Michael Bay, as soon as he saw the new Camaro model in design form, he immediately decided to "take him for the role" of the alien Bumblebee. "Its appearance fits into any era," Bay says, "there is simply no other similar car."

Chevrolet Europe will coincide with the release of the film with a full-scale marketing campaign - events will be held throughout the year, one of which will create seven scale models of the Chevrolet Camaro Bumblebee transformer, which will decorate the showrooms of dealerships.

The release of the Chevrolet Camaro starts in 2009, immediately after the start of sales in North America.

Четыре пришельца, прилетев на Землю, принимают механическую форму. Bumblebee трансформируется из Chevrolet Camaro 1976 года выпуска, Autobot Jazza – из хардтопа Pontiac Solstice, Autobot Ratchet – из HUMMER H2 в версии автомобиля технической помощи, а Ironhide – из пикапа GMC.
