Sawmill

A new worker named John is brought to the sawmill in "Panopticon". During a break, the foreman asks John to go to the local store and buy food for the workers. Upon arriving at the store, the main character meets an old man who tells him that he used to work at this sawmill and once had to leave work for a short time. When he returned to the sawmill, the old man found that his crew, with whom he had been cutting wood, had "vanished without a trace". Not believing the old man's story, John heads back to the sawmill, where he sees that there are no workers anywhere. Later, he discovers a basement in one of the sawmill's sheds, and in it, John sees a horrifying scene: all the dead workers are lying on the floor, and only the foreman, barely breathing, tells John to get out of there while he still can...
