The Protecta is a 12-gauge (about 18.5 mm) smoothbore combat shotgun built according to a revolving pattern (formerly known as the "Striker"). The weapon was designed by Rhodesian Hilton Walker in the early 1980s. The first examples of a combat shotgun were released in the mid-1980s in South Africa. The weapon was distinguished by a large magazine capacity and a high practical rate of fire.

Protecta — гладкоствольное боевое ружьё 12-го калибра (около 18,5 мм), построенное по револьверной схеме (ранее известное как «Striker»). Оружие разработано жителем Родезии Хилтоном Уокером в начале 1980-х годов. Первые образцы боевого дробовика были выпущены в середине 1980-х в ЮАР. Оружие отличалось большой ёмкостью магазина и высокой практической скорострельностью.
