This modification swaps the gangs and their vehicles in GTA: San Andreas, as well as introducing numerous additional changes to the game. The familiar balance of power has now been completely overturned, with Grove Street and Ballas switching roles.
What's changed (v1.0):
- The Ballas gang has been renamed Ballas Street Families, and the Grove Street Families have been shortened to Grove.
- Members of the Ballas gang now inhabit Grove Street and become allies of CJ.
- Members of the Grove gang took over Ballas territory; the Aztecas and Vagos also exchanged territories. All characters retain their original voices.
- Each gang's vehicles have been moved to their new territories, with their names and parameters preserved in handling.cfg.
- References to gangs and some related details have been changed in the subtitles.
- Character models have been replaced (for cutscenes and gameplay). The beta versions from Kalvin's San Andreas: Beta Edition mod were used as a basis, as well as reworked original skins.
- The colors of the territories on the map have been changed. The Extended Gang Wars mod by SilentPL is required for this feature to work (the settings file is included in the archive).
- Gang graffiti has been redrawn and replaced.
- Almost all of CJ's green clothing has been replaced with purple (textures are partially taken from the Ballas 4 Life mod).
Installation:
- Copy the GangSwap folder to the modloader directory.
- Start the game and enjoy.
Note:
The author is aware that similar mods already exist (for example, Ballas 4 Life), but this version was created as an experiment. There may be some flaws. If you want to help fix them, please write in the comments or send a private message to LibertyCity.
