This car from the era of disco, flared jeans and the first VCRs is a true symbol of American pragmatism of the 70s. A time when gasoline prices were rising faster than hairdos on the dance floor, and muscle car drivers began to count not only admiring glances, but also every gallon. The Hotster was a response to the fuel crisis, when large and gluttonous "barges" began to look like luxury, and a simple, reliable car became a real salvation for the wallet. In a world where chrome was king and gasoline was an expensive pleasure, it was like a reminder that sometimes it was enough to just get to work and back without going broke at the gas station.
