Two years ago, Volkswagen launched a large three-row SUV: in the US, the model is called Atlas, in China and Russia it is known as Teramont. The production version was presented in April 2019 at the Shanghai Motor Show, and China became the first market for the “coupe” - the local version was called Teramont X. Externally, the new version differs from the “standard” cross not only in silhouette and stern, but also in the design of the front: the “X” has different bumpers, headlights and a radiator grill. The length of the VW Teramont X is 4905 mm, which is 134 mm less than the local three-row SUV. The wheelbase has not changed – 2980 mm. The Teramont X shares the engine range with its brother: a 2.5-liter EA390 series V6 turbo engine with an output of 299 hp. Combined with a seven-speed DQ500 gearbox with two “wet” clutches. The drive is all-wheel drive.

Внешне от «стандартного» кросса новая версия отличается не только силуэтом и кормой, но и оформлением передней части: у «икса» другие бампер, фары и радиаторная решетка. Длина VW Teramont X равна 4905 мм, что на 134 мм меньше, чем у местного трёхрядного SUV. Размер колёсной базы не изменился – 2980 мм. Моторную гамму Teramont X разделил с братом: турбодвигателем V6 2.5 серии EA390 с отдачей в 299 л.с. Сочетается с семиступенчатой коробкой DQ500 с двумя «мокрыми» сцеплениями. Привод – полный.
