- 14ms frame delay removed. As a result, the game now correctly locks at 30 FPS instead of 25 FPS. - More accurate framelimiter, slightly reducing latency spikes when playing with the framelimiter set to - Game timers are now more accurate, so they don't stop if the frame rate exceeds 1000 fps; in other words, it fixes random stuttering on fades when playing with the frame limiter turned off. - The mouse should not randomly lock when exiting the menu on newer systems - The sensitivity of the vertical axis of the mouse now matches the sensitivity of the horizontal axis - The vertical axis of the mouse is no longer blocked during camera fading NUM5 is now bound (as in 1.01) - 16:9 resolution can now be selected (as in 1.01)
- Removed DirectPlay dependency - this should improve compatibility with Windows 8 and newer - The path to the GTA San Andreas User Files directory is now different, which improves compatibility and makes games more promising. - Fixed heap corruption in one place (does not affect gameplay, but could potentially crash the game) - EAX/NVIDIA splashes are now removed (can be enabled/disabled; default disabled) - Subtitle and radio text sizes can now be switched between the original version and the updated Steam version (default Steam sizes) - The color of the area name now matches the color of the gang that owns that area (Los Santos only) (can be toggled on/off; default is off) - Reflections on wet roads are displayed correctly again (as with the road reflections fix) - Fixed an issue where the sunlight flare effect was not appearing on AMD/Intel graphics cards - Fixed a bug due to which melee weapons generated by cheats were forcibly replaced with another melee weapon when entering a pickup truck - Helicopters and airplane propellers now work correctly. They now have the blur effect present in the VC and PS2 versions of SA. This fix can be disabled on a per-vehicle basis via the INI file. - The hunter's interior does not disappear when viewed through the glass door panel - Dual rear wheels are now displayed correctly (Yosemite, Tanker, etc.). This fix can be disabled or forced on a per-vehicle basis via the INI file. - Weapons are now visible when viewed through a car window - When holding a weapon, you will no longer illuminate certain objects incorrectly. - Exploded cars are now correctly painted and no longer shine (as in versions 1.01 and Steam) - Dirty cars can now be cleaned (like in 1.01) - Each car now has a unique license plate - Custom license plates are now also allowed on bikes - Number plates are now filtered using bilinear mode for a smoother look - Car headlights no longer darken after they are initially lit (like on PS2) - Individual vehicle parts will now remain the same color as the vehicle they came from - Individual parts of the car are now displayed on both sides - Some car panels now wobble after a car explodes (as intended, but the code forced them to fix them immediately after being damaged) - Moonphases are now displayed correctly as in the PS2 version (only when playing in 32-bit color mode) - Turning on car headlights does not make the windows invisible when viewed from the inside - Lighting value from timecyc.dat now accepts any floating point value in the ranges 0.0-2.0, not just 0.0, 1.0 and 2.0 - Lights are now correctly applied to vehicles and cushions - they previously disappeared under certain conditions. - Additionally, when playing on Visual FX Quality higher than Low, the game will now produce up to 6 lights per model, both indoors and outdoors (low detail levels maintain the game's default behavior - up to 4 are allowed light sources per model outdoors and 6 indoors) - The flash face looks better - The muzzle flash will now be displayed when the last bullet from the ! clip is fired! - Coronas now no longer has a forced Z-test - as a result, sunglare now matches the original PS2 version - If automatic scanning of custom tracks is enabled, MP3 playback will now work correctly if QuickTime is not installed. - User Tracks now supports FLAC codec (8/16/24 bit only, mono/stereo and up to 48 kHz) - PCM WAVE files with ID3-TAG will now also work with the game - Temple and Queens are now correctly called on the police scanner - Traveling further away from the map will no longer cause glitches in extra gang territories and will not hurt Taxi Driver's performance - Fixed gym bug ("You've worked hard enough..." showing endlessly) (can be enabled/disabled; default is ENABLED) - Saving at Madd Dogg's mansion will no longer trigger the missing basketball glitch (can be toggled on/off; default is on) - Fixed random softlock in Mountain Cloud Boys - player no longer freezes after arriving at a meeting (can be toggled on/off; default to on) - Fixed possible software blocking in Sweet's Girl opening splash screen (can be enabled/disabled; enabled by default) Quadruple Stunt Bonus now works correctly (can be enabled/disabled; enabled by default) - Car generator counters now work correctly for generators with a fixed amount of spawning - Flawed garages now work correctly, allowing the player to recover their last vehicle after it has disappeared since the start of the mission - Additionally, confiscated garages will now store the player's car when they are broke - The list of stream entities has been expanded slightly so that the game world should no longer flicker when looking down with high Draw Draw Distance settings. - The mouse rotates the onboard car only with the Steer with Mouse option enabled - The Towtruck's hitch will no longer bug after it gets fixed - Airplane doors do not deteriorate after the airplane has already been repaired - Fixing the plane will now reset its moving supports to an undamaged state - Weapons and jetpack now cast correct shadows - The crosshair no longer spoils the weapon icon when ! is on a jetpack! - Free respirators will not continue the new game now - Fixed ambulance and fire truck dispatch timers - they are now reset in New Game - Several stat counters are now reset in New Game - so the player will not level up faster after starting New Game from a save - The message “To stop Carl...” is now reset correctly in New Game - Previously only existing on PS2, the 'Cars drive on water' cheat is now switchable - its line is SEAROADER - Fixed a randomizer bug that was causing peds not to spawn in some areas. - Fixed a randomizer bug causing prostitutes to remain silent while soliciting - Text fields can now be displayed along with the text of the completed mission - Fixed a random crash when Alt+Tab would return to the game while standing next to a mirror - Specular reflection is no longer broken when anti-aliasing is enabled - When set to Visual FX Quality (Very High), the mirror image quality has increased - The Anti-Aliasing option has been changed - instead of listing 1, 2, 3 options (which are effectively 2x/2x/4x MSAA), the game will now display the correct MSAA values from 2x to 16x (depending on the maximum MSAA level supported) by video card ) - Colliding with another car will now damage the correct parts on both cars - previously both cars were damaged equally - Fixed a crash with car explosions - most common when playing with a multi-monitor setup. - Fixed a crash when entering advanced display options on a computer with two monitors after: The maximum resolution of the secondary monitor must be greater than the maximum resolution of the main monitor. - Fixed random crash when standing next to escalators - Slightly reduced overhead for stencil shadows - Fixed an AI issue where enemies would become too accurate after the player was in the car before IMGs larger than 4GB are now handled correctly Alt + F4 now works correctly - Several vehicles now have additional animated components: Phoenix hood scoops, Sweeper brushes, Newsvan antenna, radars on several boats, additional flaps on Stuntplane and Beagle - Animated engine components on Bandito, BF Injection and Hotknife will not animate if the engine is turned off - Fixed a crash that occurred when the vending machine was continuously used for a long period of time - FILE_FLAG_NO_BUFFERING flag has been removed from IMG read functions - speed up streaming - Constants for converting metric to empire have been replaced with more accurate ones - Fixed a glitch where random cars would end up in the garage, replacing the player's cars - Very long loading times now loop loading screens instead of fading to white - Sun reflections on pads and vehicles now change direction depending on the time of day, like in III and VC (can be toggled on/off; default disabled) - The timings of the dance mini-games have been improved so that they do not lose accuracy over time depending on the PC's operating time - Car generators placed in interiors are now positioned correctly - this "hides" the two cars in Madd Dogg's mansion that were always there but not visible - Bombs in cars stored in garages are now saved correctly - Fixed a bug that caused games to freeze if III/VC/SA were running at the same time
- The health triangle displayed when hovering over peds is now correctly oriented (it's now upside down) for peds that the player can type - Setting BMX on fire no longer sets CJ on fire - Keyboard input delay decreased by one frame - Rhino no longer gets extra wheels after repair - Firetruck (firela variant) now has a functional ladder - it can be raised by sliding the right analog stick down / pressing Num2 - Artict3 trailers can now be chained together (as was most likely intended, since the model has a dummy that has not yet functioned) - The tug now has a functional tow hook (the model has a dummy with a hook that didn't work until now) - The left middle wheel of the DFT-30 is now displayed correctly (there is now a typo in the game)
- Pay 'n Spray will no longer clean the car BEFORE closing the garage doors - it will now clean them while the car is hidden behind the garage door - Added "True Invicibility" option - if this option is enabled, the police helicopter will not harm the player if they have the Invicibility cheat code enabled (can be enabled/disabled; default disabled) - Made the game choose metric/imperial units based on the system locale settings. This can be overridden from the INI file - Fixed a bug that caused paint jobs to disappear from cars stored in a garage if they were stored without looking at them - Steam and RGL versions now have the correct proportions - IMG size check has been removed from the Steam version of - The Steam/RGL version of the game will no longer reject 1.0/1.01 saves (however, a compatible SCM is required to save) - Removed censorship from Steam and RGL for German players. - Steam/RGL versions now disable the Steer with Mouse option by default, like in 1.0/1.01.
