Mauser C96 is a German self-loading pistol developed in 1895.
The pistol was developed by employees of the Mauser company - the brothers Fidel, Friedrich and Josef Federle.
Fidel Federle was in charge of the experimental workshop of the Mauser arms factory, and the new pistol was originally called P-7.63 or the Federle pistol. In the future, the pistol was patented in the name of Paul Mauser in Germany in 1895.

Пистолет был разработан работниками компании «Маузер» — братьями Фиделем, Фридрихом и Йозефом Федерле.
Фидель Федерле заведовал экспериментальным цехом оружейного завода «Маузер», и новый пистолет изначально назывался P-7.63 или пистолет Федерле. В дальнейшем, пистолет был запатентован на имя Пауля Маузера в Германии в 1895 г.
