The 92FS has an enlarged firing pin stop that fits into a groove on the underside of the slide. The main purpose is to prevent the slide from flying off the frame to the rear if it cracks. This was done in response to reports of defective slides during military trials in the US.

У 92FS увеличенный штифт ударника, который входит в паз на нижней стороне затвора. Основное назначение — не дать затвору слететь с рамы в заднюю часть, если он треснет. Это было сделано в ответ на сообщения о дефектных затворах во время военных испытаний в США.
