Heckler & Koch G36 (Gewehr 36) is an assault rifle chambered for the 5.56×45mm NATO cartridge, designed in the early 1990s by the German arms company Heckler & Koch as a replacement for the heavier 7.62×51mm caliber G3 battle rifle. In 1997, it was adopted by the Bundeswehr, replacing the G3.

Heckler & Koch G36 (Gewehr 36) — штурмовая винтовка под патрон 5,56×45 мм НАТО, разработанная в начале 1990-х годов немецкой оружейной компанией Heckler & Koch в качестве замены более тяжелой боевой винтовки G3 калибра 7,62×51 мм. В 1997 году она была принята на вооружение Бундесвера, заменив G3.
