This mod aims to make traffic in Liberty City more grounded and monotonous, resulting in a calmer and somewhat more pessimistic driving experience. The main feature is even greater traffic variety in Liberty City. No more four Vigeros at the same traffic light! Now you’ll see more regular and service vehicles, bright supercar colors, and much more. Any cool car you choose will make you stand out, just like the main character.
The package includes two files, which can be used separately or together.
Features:
- The colors of many vehicles have been changed to match the real-life counterparts. The more modern the car, the fewer color options it has.
- Most modern everyday cars are now silver, gray, beige, or white, but typical 90s colors like teal, dark green, dark blue, and burgundy are also present.
- Classic cars, on the other hand, come in a wider variety of colors. These include bright shades like Aston Martin Almond Green and Mako Blue on the SuperGT, BMW Phoenix Yellow and Estoril Blue on the Sentinel, popular Lamborghini colors on the Infernus, and more.
- The traffic system in Algonquin has been improved, and there is more vehicle diversity in other areas as well.
- Cool classic cars (such as Virgo, Peyote, Blista, Dukes) are now a bit rarer and are not exclusive to low-income citizens.
- Buses, bicycles, and vans now regularly appear throughout the city.
- Rare vehicles like DF-8, Lokus, Premier, Presidente, Pinnacle, Solair, and Willard are now seen more frequently.
- The presence of Patriots and FXT (based on unusual vehicles) has been reduced.
Installation: Replace the files in GTAIV/common/data (and GTAIV/[episode name]/common/data for TLAD and TBoGT).
Tested on Steam CE in both the main game and episodes.
Known issues:
- It takes some time for the traffic pattern to update after moving between islands.
- Traffic may temporarily disappear for a short period. Reloading your save will immediately fix this.
- Excessive use of additional car features and random colors in ZolikaTrainer may cause physics glitches or crashes. Reloading your save will also fix this.
- Since everything depends on personal preference, backup files are included (to restore, remove “backup” from the extension and replace the modified file).
