The LR-300 assault rifle, developed by American Alan Zitta and produced by his small American company Z-M Weapons, is interesting in that it is a fairly successful attempt to eliminate the M16 (AR-15) rifle's main shortcomings, which are associated with the gas system that discharges powder gases directly into the receiver, and the impossibility of installing it on full-fledged folding stock.
