Since 2001, the Grand Theft Auto series has attracted the attention of millions of players around the world. However, an official film adaptation has not yet been released. Fans come to the rescue, making their own mini-films based on the series. We will tell you about the most interesting of them in this article.

Here are various examples, from funny and a little trashy to really serious works.

Annoying Cop

A humorous Internet series on the GTA: San Andreas engine. Its plot revolves around a cop who is chasing CJ and trying to arrest the guy, and our hero is looking for a way to get rid of the annoying law enforcement officer. The events are accompanied by jokes and funny situations.

Pizza Time

In many parts of the GTA series, you can work as a pizza delivery man. In doing so, you can accidentally commit a crime and face the consequences. A similar scenario is played out in the short film Pizza Time, which is also made on the San Andreas engine. Here, CJ must deliver an order to the Italian mafia. However, circumstances do not allow him to deliver the pizza on time.

Grove Street Story

And if you are interested in a more serious approach, pay attention to this series of fan films with live actors. It plays out the confrontation between the Grove Street and Ballas gangs, and also touches on other aspects of Los Santos life. Moreover, the story has a good script, high-quality production and an atmosphere in the spirit of the original San Andreas.

GTA V PC — Hotline Miami (Machinima)

Here is a scene from Hotline Miami, which was recreated in the video editor of the fifth Grand Theft Auto. Among the many similar works, we decided to highlight this one. Let us remind you that the gameplay of the Hotline Miami dilogy resembles the first parts of the GTA series, only without cars. And the signature atmosphere of the 80s brings to mind the original Vice City.

San Andreas in real life

In this series of fan films, people behave like the heroes of San Andreas. Moreover, they move a little unnaturally to look like in-game models. Unlike the serious "Grove Street Story", what's happening here seems funny and makes you smile a little.

Not Normal

A video on the GTA 5 engine, directed by Matt MacDonald. He is known for his work on trailers for The Elder Scrolls Online and The Division. His short film looks like a stylish action movie. The dynamics of the scene, camera angles, music — everything is done at a professional level.

Overheat

A full-fledged one and a half hour film, which was made in the video editor of the fifth GTA. It allows you to see the criminal world of Los Santos from a new side. The dynamics and atmosphere of the events are reminiscent of the first Fast & Furious.

GTA San Andreas 2 — Imagining CJ Reunites with Friends After 33 Years

A short film on the Unreal Engine 5 engine, which plays out CJ's return to Grove Street three decades after the death of Big Smoke and Tenpenny. He visits a familiar courtyard and meets slightly older friends. The video is filled with nostalgia and will surely appeal to fans of San Andreas.

There are similar videos based on Vice City and GTA 5. But they turned out to be not so touching.

The Police Chase

This simple title hides a two-minute action movie based on GTA 5 in the spirit of Michael Bay films. Franklin is trying to escape pursuit, and the cops are trying to catch up with him. But our hero has a trump card — a hand grenade launcher. You will experience crazy speeds and spectacular explosions, and the virtual operator always chooses the best angles.

All Main GTA Characters The Big Race Contest — Who Will Win?

Another short film in the style of "Fast and Furious". According to the plot, the heroes of all the latest GTA games — Michael, Franklin, Trevor, Niko Bielik, Johnny Klebitz, Luis Lopez, CJ, Victor Vance, Toni Cipriani, Claude and Tommy Vercetti — gathered in one place. They decided to take part in a race with each other. The race is played out spectacularly, with accidents, overtaking and desperate attempts to break into first place.
