Funny Man — quest walkthrough in Red Dead Redemption

In this guide, you will learn how to repeatedly save a man named Jimmy from bandit captivity in Red Dead Redemption.

This quest is divided into four parts. It becomes available after completing the mission «Exhuming and Other Fine Hobbies».

Head to the question mark marker near Benedict Point to start this mission.

You will see a man named Jimmy sitting on a bench — talk to him. He will tell you about an article his employers asked him to write to «capture the spirit of the West». Marston will warn Jimmy that he may be underestimating the danger he will face while researching his story.

Head to Gaptooth Breach to find your new acquaintance.

The man will be tied up in the mine. Kill all the adversaries, untie the man, and escort him outside.

Head to the question mark marker in the Pike's Basin area to find the man.

Jimmy is tied up again. Untie him and watch the cutscene.

You can finish this mission in Mexico after completing the «Empty Promises» quest. Head to the Tesoro Azul area to find Jimmy again.

Clear the fortress of all adversaries, climb the ladder to the roof, and untie the man again. After talking, you will successfully complete this quest.
