In this guide, you will learn how to teach your son to hunt elk and skin a dead animal in Red Dead Redemption. Head to your son Jack, marked on the map with the letter J, to start this mission. Your initiative will be to teach your son to hunt. Saddle your horse and head with Jack to the dog named Rufus. The dog will lead you to the elk habitat.
Since elks are quite fast, use your Dead Eye ability to kill a few individuals. Show the boy how to skin the animal, then let him try it himself. After successful skinning, head to the Manzanita trading post to sell the meat, and return home. Upon arrival, the mission will be considered complete, and you will receive +75 points to the Honor parameter.
