For Purely Scientific Purposes — Red Dead Redemption Mission Walkthrough

In this guide, we will tell you how to reach the Bear Claw camp and deal with the local, unscrupulous settlers in Red Dead Redemption.

Your adventure will begin with a visit to Professor MacDougal's den. Talk to him to start the mission. The professor will share with you a mystery he has been trying to solve for eight years.

After finishing the dialogue, exit the building, saddle your trusty steed, and set off following the professor and an Indian named Nastas. Your goal will be the Bear Claw cabin, where you hope to convey to the local residents the wrongdoings of Dutch. Along the way, you will encounter a formidable grizzly bear. Deal with it and continue moving forward.

Upon arriving at your destination, enter the cabin and watch the cutscene. The camp residents turn out to be unfriendly — during the dialogue, they kill Nastas. Fight all the settlers using your skills and tactical abilities. After the victory, head back to town. On the way, you will be ambushed by bandits. Eliminate them and reach Blackwater together with the professor.

Upon arriving in Blackwater, watch the cutscene where the professor shares his thoughts and discoveries. After this, the mission will be considered complete, and you will receive +12 points to the Honor parameter.
